CHRISTMAS.......

I can't believe that Christmas is less than 24 hrs. away! I'm excited to see my parents open their gifts & I'm to the point now I want to see what my presents are...even more I'm still trying to figure out what that one box under the tree is. It's small, makes noise when you shake it, and its kinda of heavy. I haven't decided yet but I think that might be the first present that I open. Yes, I'm still a kid when it comes Christmas time!

This past weekend my family & I went to Cincinnati for an early Christmas with my brother. I got a few things and I liked them a lot. The most exciting thing was watching my niece open her presents. She would shake each one & then rip the paper off after someone started it for her. The funny part was that she had to get off every piece of paper. She would get very frustrated at times....When she finally got it open she would drop the contents of the box out & that was it. She didn't really pay attention to what was in there. It was very humorous at times especially when she would look at you and say" That not funny!"

I'm excited to be off work for the rest of today & all day tomorrow. Yes, I had to work on Christmas Eve but it wasn't that bad. I got to read a good book while waiting on customers to come & buy gift cards & then had to go close dish. I wasn't thrilled about washing dishes for exactly 2hrs but I got an extra $20.00 so I was okay with it afterwards.
Well, I hope that you have a blessed Christmas. I need to go now..............bye friends!

I am enjoying BREAK so far.....

Being on break is the greatest thing in the world! So far this break I have gotten a lot of things accomplished........

  1. I have slept as much & as long as I wanted
  2. Eaten some excellent food
  3. Worked as much as possible

Work doesn't sound exciting, but I must say I truly love my job, and its fun to go back to work after being at school. My job is always exciting, you never know exactly what will happen, or exactly what you will be doing, but you always know it will be fun & busy, or boring & slow.

I have truly enjoyed catching up on my sleep & eating home-cooked meals. Tonight when I got off work I came home and made a home-made pizza. It looked very good and honestly couldn't wait to eat some of it. Around six tonight I received a phone called & my managers at work were begging me to come back to work because they were so busy. So off to work I went with no pizza. Although, when I got home tonight, the pizza was even better than what it would of been around six.

The rest of my week is full of plans to finish Christmas shopping and working. This weekend my family and I are traveling to Cincinnati to have Christmas with my brother and his family. I'm not so sure I like this idea but I honestly have no choice in the matter. I like the idea of having all my present to open on Christmas Day. I won't be opening all of my presents but still its something new that I'm not sure I like but will do anyways. The most exciting thing about this weekend is that I will get to see my adorable niece Meaghan!

I love this girl to piece... Well, I think I should head to bed now so that I will be ready for the day that lays ahead for me tomorrow. Good-night friends

  2. Eat- Home-cooked meals!
  3. Relax!
  4. Enjoy some good books!
  5. Watch some movies!
  6. Go to work when I'm scheduled!
  7. Wrap Gifts!
  8. Finish Shopping!
  9. Spend time with family & friend that are coming over!
  10. Have a Wonderful Christmas Day & New Years!
All of these sound wonderful to me! It has been a long time since I have gotten to do any of these and I'm looking forward to doing all of them. I can't wait for it all to begin just a few more hours until the fun begins...............

At last, I have seen the light again!

WOW! What a week. I must say that this week has been full of Christmas Parties & studying for those finals and parties still to go to. I had a grand total of 5 finals this week & yes a few of them were a little on the difficult side. One of my finals took from 9:35 till 11:00 I was a little overwhelmed with this test. I was able to use notes for this test, but the questions were scattered so I was searching for the answers all over my notes.

About an hour ago I finished my last final for this semester and think I did very well on it :). Now, I'm sitting at work with nothing to do. I'm very thankful for this...a time to sit and relax after the long stressful week that I had.

I have to give God thanks for this semester. He helped me to get things done when they needed done. He gave strength to keep going when I didn't feel like I could & most of all He kept me well for the most part the entire semester. I have been sick since Thanksgiving but with His help have been able to finish the semester. PRAISE GOD ITS OVER!

I am leaving tomorrow afternoon to go home for a little over three weeks. When I come back I should be refreshed and ready for the next semester. I'm very thankful that this semester has came to a close! :)

The end is just in sight!

WOW! The semester is almost finished! Praise the good Lord. Let me just tell you about my week
Monday- My 20th birthday! I was excited to spend the day with friends, but then sad about it because I wasn't spending it with my family. It hit me on Sunday when I was at home for my birthday that this will probably start the long trend of not being with my parents for my birthday again. Hopefully, someday I'll be able to spend it with someone I truly love & think the world of. But for now the thought of spending your 1st birthday away from parents was a little depressing.

The good news about it was my friends made up for it. Some of my closest friends on campus took me out for my birthday. Brandon, Joe, Josh, Heather, Maria, Esther, and myself all went to Olive Garden and it was very good. The funny thing about the night was everyone got there food except me. When they were nearly finished with their food mine finally arrived. I didn't order anything that was complicated...who knows what happen. At least I finally got it & enjoyed it.

Tuesday- A very busy day! I got up around 4:00 in the morning to babysit. Went down and got my niece and was intending to put her to bed, but to my surprise she was WIDE awake :( this is impossible for a two year old she should be wanting to go back to bed. Tried to beg her to go to bed and it not working. The whole time she was laying beside me saying plz no, plz no, look Christmas lights :) Yes, the verse I will bless the LORD at all times was going through my head Didn't she know that I just wanted 45 mins of sleep. Finally got her to sleep :) then it was time to head to classes. Went to class from 7-1:00, worked from 1-4, went to teen power 5-8, had volleyball from 8-10, and then finally homework. Yes Tuesdays are extremely busy for me.

Wednesday- Skipped everything except work to sleep. It was needed and helped me out in many ways. Got an antibiotic for this horrible cough that I have been fighting for a couple of weeks, and now am on the mend.

Thursday- Got up around 5:30 to take a test, went to breakfast, went to classes, and now finally sitting at my desk blogging :). I have two papers to finish writing and turn in, in about an hour and then all of my homework will be finished for this semester. Yes i said ALL of my homework will be finished for the semester!!!!

As I said, the end is just in sight! I'm so thankful for the Lord's help through this semester. Yes, it has been a very busy one but I have gained a lot of knowledge and believe it has been very helpful to me. I just have the Christmas play to do this weekend, and than finals next week and I'm home for almost three whole entire weeks.

Hope you have a wonderful day friends, until next time.............I'm off to writing papers!

Amazed

Sometimes I am amazed at God. When your at your very lowest point and just need encouraging God sends out his blessings upon you. Just recently I felt like I was all alone in this world, but He came to me in a sweet way & reminded me that He has everything under control.

Two weeks ago the teen power workers got together and were praying for the teens, but specifically that someone would come to know God as the personal Lord & Savior. We fasted a meal on Tuesday and prayed through-out the service and the result was two people ended up getting saved. How amazing is that. Through this I was reminded that if we seek God first he will see that our needs are fulfilled.

Once, again I am reminded how amazing God is. He is faithful, loving, kind, all-knowing, an a personal friend to me. Okay, so i was going to post a picture but its not working so thats its for now. I'm off to homework....................Good-night friends

Thanksgiving

So, I know this is long overdue but I wanted to post a few pictures from the Williams' Thanksgiving.

The Wonderful food

Just a few pictures. I was so excited for Thanksgiving, but not only for that but for a break that was way overdue for me.

Time to head to bed...

Thanksgiving.... when I think of this one simple words my mind runs in many directions. God, Friends, Family, Food, Shoes, Clothes, Health, Money, A place to live, a car to drive, and many more things. I believe this Thanksgiving is a little different for me. A lot has occured over the last year in my life that has shown me a different meaning to thankfulness. Life is a precious thing that so many of us take for granted. The fact that we are alive and breathing at this very moment is an awesome thing to be thankful for. Within the past year I have been allowed to lose a close family member, and go through some difficult situations. But through it all I have to thank God that He has been there with me and that I knew I was safe in His hands. This Thanksgiving I have so much to be thankful for. I hope you to friends have lots to be thankful for.

Tomorrow, my family is going to have a huge meal and just spend some quality time together. I am very excited about it. As a family tradition we eat all day long, and play a few games. Upwords, Mad Gab and several others. I for one can't wait to play upwords. My cousin was at one time undefeated at this game, but just a couple of months ago I broke that record. I'm waiting to see who will win tomorrow, whether it be Joshua, myself, or some other lucky soul.

Well, friends I hope that you realize how blessed we really, are and that you give God praise for everything from the smallest to the greatest blessing you have in your life. Have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving.

Teen Power @ YMCA

So, I am involved in a ministry called Teen Power. Its basically a group of students that get together & go downtown Cincinnati pick up teens that we have contact with, and take them to church. We have songs, a game, a short devotional, small groups, and then finally snacks. It is a very rewarding ministry to be a part of. I love it so much & more than anything I love the teens.

Last week instead of picking them up and taking them to the chapel we took them to they YMCA in Dayton, Kentucky. Here we all played ping pong, pool, arcade games & lots of other things. It was a lot of fun! Here are just a few pictures of the evening.

Melisa Phelps & Kelly Williams
Chris Watson, Myself, and Joshua Jamison
Marcus & his adorable daugher
(I should say My son & grand-daughter) Kelly Williams, Joe Hough, Cheryl
Daniel Bond, and Josh Jamison
AA group of teens!
Nicole, & Tenisha praying with Dorcus & Jacinda

These are just a few pictures of the night! We all had a great time. Jacinda spoke on Loving God, and just gave her testimony about How God saved her, and has helped her so far in her walk with Christ. Afterwards, Nicole was asking questions & wanted people to pray with her. She didn't get saved that night, but it was great to see her seeking for answers to her questions. What a great night!

Catching up...or at least trying to

WOW! Its been a long time since I have blogged. I have a lot to catch up on, but it will have to wait just a few more hours for now I'm going to go to bed and get a few hours of sleep. :) I plan on blogging a lot & getting caught up a lot has happen that I'm dying to tell. Good-night for now friends

Harvest Party!

Last night was the Harvest Party for our church at my Aunt & Uncles house! It was soo much fun. The preparation before hand wasn't so much fun but it was worth it after all. Before hand my mom and I was doing laundry(which I brought home from school to save me money) making a gallon of tea, baking cookies, another dessert that doesn't have a name yet, but their YUMMY, and cutting up the potatoes & vegetables for the soup.

Once, we got to Aunt Karen's & Uncle Terry's we had soo much food. Some of the food was Chili, Potato soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, White Chili, Mexican Chili, Potato Salad, Oyster Crackers, Chips, Chocolate Chip cookies, Pumpkin Bars, Peanut butter no-bake cookies, Hot Chocolate, and a lot more. As you can tell trying to decide what to get once you were in line was a little bit difficult. All that I had was very good!

After the wonderful food, we sat around the bon-fire for awhile. One of the exciting things that happen was the guys playing football. There wasn't enough space for them to play tackle so they played two-hand touch. It was dark and it was funny to watch them trying to play.

Finally, it was time for the hay ride! The hay ride was suppose to be about 6-7 miles. We were all piled close together and sharing blankets. Some came prepared for the long cold ride and some didn't. I was one of the one's who did. I had on a long sleeved shirt, two sweatshirts, and a marshmallow coat. Needless to say I was very warm. :) So, we're on the hayride riding along FREEZING but having soo much fun. All, of a sudden the wagon felt like we were on a gravel road, but wasn't. The people in the back of the wagon was screaming and telling us to stop. So, Larry flashed the light at Uncle Terry and we stopped. Yes, the least expecting thing happened. We blew the back tire on the wagon. Now, what are we suppose to do? We're sitting along side of the road a couple miles away from the house with a flat tire...not going anywhere.

The vehicle that was following us decided to take all of the children back to the house. So we where left w/o a vehicle behind the wagon. When we would see a vehicle coming Uncle Terry, Pastor Chip, and Larry would shine the lights in their eyes hoping that they would stop. It took a long time for the vehicles to stop but they finally did. One of the vehicles was a conservation officer just out looking for people who were shooting deers, who shouldn't be. It was kinda of funny to have him there while we waited on the other vechiles to come pick us all up. Needless, to say we never got to finish our hayride. We all got to ride back in various vehicles and the wagon got pulled home:(

Although we didn't get the hayride, we got to spend time together as a church family, had lots of good food, and overall had a BLAST! I must run to dinner now. Bye until next time

My uneventful Day

I will bless the Lord at ALL times.... So, this wasn't the exact thought that popped into my head at 6:00 o'clock today but it should of. So, I got to bed a good time last night, and was so excited about getting to sleep in. My body is use to waking up between 5-6 every day so natuarlly it did it again today. I was kinda bummed out because my first class wasn't until 8:50.

So to start my day off to a good start I finally made myself get out of bed once I realized that I wasn't going back to sleep. I got ready went down to the cafeteria for breakfast, came back upstairs went through class and chapel then work. After work today I went down to TOPS and tutored some students there and enjoyed every mintue of it! After TOPS I took a couple of teens from downtown home & went back to school.

My evening I had decided was going to be spent sleeping! But a friend called and wanted to know if I could go to the Cheesecake factory with them...of course I couldn't turn that offer down. We all ordered appetizers( popcorn shrimp, nachos, and taquitos) and shared them. It was all very good! Afterwards we had Keylime Cheesecake, which was good, but soo sour.

When we got back to school I was determined to get some sleep before I travled home tonight, but of course that didn't work out very well either. Within 45mins of arriving on school, packing & loading the car I was on my way Home! :D Needless, to say my day was busy but was very uneventful.

The best part about the whole day is that I get to sleep in my own bed, and that I don't have to worry about getting up early in the morning. Well, I feel like I am rambling & this is going no where except in circles. So I think I will sign off and go to lala land. Until next time.... Good-Night!

Here Goes

So I couldn't stand by and watch Becky & Esther talk about their blogs without getting one too. I love reading their blogs, but I'm afraid that I will either spend too much time on here, or else totally forget about it and never blog. Hopefully, I will be GOOD and blog quite frequently but NOT spend much time on here.

Well, for starters today was a very good day for me. I learned yesterday in Chapel that my first period class was cancelled for both Thursday & Friday morning :) which I am very thankful for. The Lord knew that I needed the few hours of extra sleep. So, instead of getting up at 5 I was able to sleep in till about 7:30. I went to all my classes, passed both of my test with good grades :) and then went to work.

The best thing about the whole day was I got to play v-ball with some friends :) I wasn't with the program at all tonight, and was missing the ball or being very stupid and hitting it with one arm not good. Needless, to say I laughed very hard, and about made Becky pee her pants. :)

Well, I think I will sign off for the night and get some extra sleep. Good-Night!
