At times I'm overwhelmed

So, as I was looking over the stuff that I have to get accomplished in the near future I think I'm going to look like this before long. This week has been a busy week, and it seems like the next couple of weeks will be also. I'm just thankful that tomorrow is Friday! Friday night is the only night that I don't allow myself to do homework. I spend almost every Saturday doing homework for the coming week so I graciously allow myself to take Friday's off.
This weekend I am going to be gone of Friday night to some friend's house. Another girl from school is going so it should be lots of fun. We are going very far away also. We are walking across the parking lot to Donny & Becky's house. They are really cool people and I love spending weekends at their house! Its a great place to just relax and get homework done. Thats about all my weekend consist of. Have a GREAT weekend!

A glimpse into Sarah's week so far

I am so happy tonight! My volleyball team won both of our games. This is something that we haven't gotten accomplished in awhile. I have a good team, but we for some odd reason haven't been playing together as a team. But tonight we saw a miracle...hehe Hopefully this is the beginning of a winning streak!

This past weekend I was able to go home and had a good time. Most of my family was there and it was great to have time to just relax and get homework done. Sunday morning Reflection trio, from GBS, was at our church and they did an excellent job. I especially enjoyed Shane and Brennan Muir on the guitars. They are both very talented and it added an extra flavor to the service.

This week looks like its going to be another week of busyness. I'm not looking forward to it but I will make it.....A part of a verse is coming to mind at the moment....and this too shall pass." I'm going to head off and tackle the homework now.

It is a Joy to be a Christian!

What joy it is to be a Christian! I have been reading recently in textbooks about other religions, and I am once again amazed the how wonderful our God is to serve. Our God is our strength, provider, a true friend, comforter, and our Eternal Father. I'm so thankful that I serve a mighty God that loves me unconditionally!

The thing that keeps amazing me about God is that He is concerned about every detail in our lives from the greatest to the smallest. So many times I have found myself just thanking God for the "little" things. He cares about every situation! How amazing is that?

Many times I think where would I be, or what would my view of God be, if I had been born in a different family, or let alone a different country. I'm glad that I know the true and living God and my desire is to see others come into a personal relationship with him. There is no greater thing!

As I was having my devotions today, I came across these two quotes that I had taken during chapel service:

I am either making spiritual progress or drifting there is NO standing still- Dr. Brown

God loves you as if you’re the only person in the world to love.- H.B. London

The first one, yes, can be a little disturbing but has a good meaning with it also. The second one is one that I've been thinking about all day. He loves ME like there is no one else to love! I serve an AWESOME GOD!

Catching Up!

So it has been awhile since I have blogged and I have a lot of catching up to do. Saturday the 12th I had a beautiful nephew born. He weighed 8lbs 20 1/4in. I will have to put pictures up sometime soon. This week we just finished the second week of classes and Revival. Rev. Rodney Loper was the preacher this week and he did a wonderful job. Yesterday we had an awesome morning service. There was no preaching but an alter service and after that we had a confession time. It is a service that I will never forget. Life is busy already with all of the school work that is hanging over my shoulder. Tonight I am having supper with Becky & Donnie and their wonderful children. A couple other people from school our here it should be a good fun night!

Well, I think thats it for now hopefully I will be back soon.

Moments...

Happy moments, PRAISE God
Difficult moments, SEEK God
Quiet moments, WORSHIP God
Painful moments, TRUST God
Every moment, THANK God

I came across this the other day and I think that it is wonderful. God allows things to happen in our life's for a reason and we really don't know why but for those times I'm grateful. I personally have been in everyone of these situations before and haven't done what I should of done. For this I'm not proud of, but just the other day some things happened and for me it fell under the Difficult & Painful areas. I simple did what this says; I sought God and trusted, for that was all that I could do.
