Wow, it has been a long week. I have been home now for a whole week and its been very busy. I'm thankful that I have a job that I can come home to whenever I need it. The managers love when I'm on breaks, or home for the weekends, because like all places they need the extra help. About a year ago when I left for college we got a new GM, which I wasn't happy about, but now I'm thankful for him. He is a very educated man and knows from years spent in college that it isn't very cheap. Over Christmas break he called me and asked me if I could come in and serve? I couldn't believe it. I have worked there since the restaurant opened and have only worked as a cook, and expo, and a hostess, but never as a server. Anyways, I took him up on the offer and went in to work kinda scared. Yes, I have served before but you have to take into consideration that Steak-n-Shake and Montana Mike's Steakhouse is worlds apart. We have close to 100 things at least on the menu and trying to manage 3 to 6 tables at a time can be tricky.
Here are just a few of the steps that EACH table requires: "Hi, how are you doing today? I'm Sarah, and will be taking care of you today. May I start you out with something to drink? Are we going to have any of our delicious appetizers today? How about Chili Cheese Fries, or our home breaded Onion Rings. Today we are featuring our_______ fill in the blank." (side note: This is required, and for the most part I get the first part in, but after the drink thing I usually stop talking. The whole speech only happens when there is a manager standing in listening range.) After all of this and finally taking the orders, putting the order in the computer, and trying to remember what each person has to drink, or making sure you get the salads out before the meal, can be at times a little crazy. Anyways, I do love my job, and back to my GM. I went into work when I got home to work out my schedule, and Mike told me that he was only going to let me serve, since it pays more money. I have made money over this break, and I believe its going to be enough to not have to take the second distribution of my student loan. I'm thankful that although they desperately need the help on the line that he has spared me the 400 degrees Kitchen and given me the 65 degree dinning room. So, all of this just to say that I'm glad God know what are needs are and that He is already has something planned out for us to meet those needs.
Although my break was spent working, I've enjoyed it but more than that I've enjoyed a week at home. I head back to Cincinnati after lunch on Sunday and then its off to classes on Tuesday. Speaking of classes I need to get some homework finished so I'm getting up in the morning and heading off to the library to spend my day before I trot off to work. I decided that if I stay at home I won't get as much accomplished as I NEED to get done.
Well, I believe thats all for tonight and I can't believe I've written this much.
Good-night!

Late Winter Break
Break will start at 1:00 p.m. today! Break has already begun for me I'm almost finished packing and then I will head down to eat and then hit the roads for home. My break is going to be busy, but I am still looking forward to it! I will be working a lot, and doing as much homework as possible. Thats sounds horrible I know, but was school resumes time simple flies.
Well, I must go, my phone is ringing and my wonderful cousin is begging me to come down to the parlor so that we can leave. Yes, within the hour I will give into his wishes. I will try and keep this updated over break but...... no promises

Useless Facts
As I'm sitting at the desk in the maintenance building, with no one around, I am rather bored. So as a result here is a list of useless information. Some of these I knew and some I didn't know. Enjoy!

Snow Day!
Yes thats correct it snowed here in Cincinnati...okay so mostly ice but it actually looks like winter out there. As a result of the snow I got to SLEEP IN!! and get homework finished. I'm hoping that we get another tomorrow but I'm won't hold my breath.
So, tonight, I was suppose to be write a paper about Muhammad. While doing the research for this paper I kept finding more information and I want to use all of it. Because of spending a LOT of time researching, my paper isn't finished. It only suppose to be 3-4 pgs, but I have so many thoughts running though my head about what I want to write that poor Mr. Glick might get a very long paper....ok so I'm going to try and keep it at 4pgs.
Tonight we lost our volleyball game but it was very close the first two games. The third game we got blown away 8-3 or something like that. But I have faith...GO STARS!!
And now I must say Good-night, and get back to the paper that needs to be finished......

Random things
Today has been a good day! We didn't have classes today, but instead had Student Development Day. Mr. Miles and Ms. V were the speakers and they did an excellent job.
Currently, I'm sitting in the office looking out the window and thinking about how the weather has been recently. Earlier this week it was nice enough out not to wear a coat, yesterday it was raining and today is just another cold winter day. I for one am just about ready for spring to come and stay. I love winter, only because of the snow, and we haven't had very much of it this winter. I love to be out in the snow and absoultely love to snowmobile....oh well enough about that.
Tonight, I need to finish my Doctrine of Holiness homework, and read a few chapters in my Islam book which is a book that I really enjoy reading. Also, tonight there is an all girls night at Dorca's house. I don't know what all is going to be happening, but I do know that we will eat, possibly bake cookies, and then turn the subject into more spiritually issues.
I love working down town with the teens. It something that I never thought I would enjoy but I truly love it. I'm thankful that God has given me the desire to want to work down in the inner-city.

This past weekend was an excellent weekend! I was able to get a lot of homework accomplished. I am currently not as stressed as I was before. Last night, was a good night and a bad night all combined. My volleyball team won again! This is the good thing about last night, the bad thing is that I got hit in the head with a football thrown from across the gym. Yes, it did hurt and I still have a headache from it, but I must say I'm thankful nothing bad came of it.
Last week I got an answer to prayer and I'm very thankful for that! God always seems to work things out just when you don't think they will. There was a situation that I just didn't know how it was going to work out. I was getting a little stressed about it, but I knew God knew what was going on and would provide when it was best. I had just stopped thinking about it and knew that it would all be okay, when someone that I haven't talked to in a long time came up to me and said that they had been thinking about me. In the midst of this my prayer had been answered, and it was a reassurance from God that He has my best interest in mind! I'm thankful that I serve a God who holds all the water in the universe in his hands, and He's the same God who takes care of me
